Equipment Installed:
Garmin G500 Primary Flight Display (PFD) & Multi-function Display (MFD) System
L-3 Avionics Systems ESI-1000 Electronic Standby Indicator
Additional Comments:
Installed a Garmin G500 Primary Flight Display (PFD) & Multi-function Display (MFD) System consisting of: the GDU 620 PFD/MFD Unit; GRS 77 attitude, heading, and reference system (AHRS), GMU 44 Magnetometer, GDC 74A air data computer (ADC), GAD 43 Gyro Adaptor, and the GTP 59 outside air temperature (OAT) probe.
The GDU 620 PFD and MFD are located in a side by side configuration in the pilot’s instrument panel in place of the existing primary instruments. The ADC, AHRS, and GAD 43 are located in the tail on an existing shelf. The G500 system receives its GPS or VHF NAV data from the daul Garmin GNS 530W’s and is interfaced with the Bendix/King KFC 150 Autopilot. The directional/attitude information will be provided to the GDU 620 Display by the AHRS unit. The systems airspeed, altitude, vertical speed, and OAT data is derived from the GDC 74A air data computer. The GAD 43 provides analog attitude information to the existing KFC 150 Autopilot. The GAD 43 interfaces to the GDU 620 for configuration and alerting and with the GRS 77 for attitude and heading input information. The G500 System is also interfaced to the existing PMA 8000B Audio Panel, the SkyWatch 497 Traffic Advisory System, WX-500 Stormscope, Shadin Trend Monitor, KAS 297 Altitude Preselector, and the GDL 69A Satellite Weather-Radio Datalink Receiver.
Installed an L-3 Avionics Systems ESI-1000 Electronic Standby Indicator to provide Standby instrumentation. The ESI-1000 is located in the pilot’s panel to the left of the GDU 620 display. It provides a visual display of attitude, slip indicator, altitude, and indicated airspeed.
